A seasoned veteran of the banking, corporate finance and retail industries, Mr. Pierce serves as a Senior Advisor for TAG Holdings. While with the firm, Mr. Pierce has played a lead role in compliance reviews and government-appointed monitorships - most notably with a leading worldwide financial services firm, medical device manufacturers, an international service provider, a defense contractor and a consumer products company.
Mr. Pierce has extensive experience in corporate and financial restructuring, international banking, asset disposition, valuation and sale of company subsidiaries, debt syndications, import and export, information technology, supply chain management, compliance with state, federal and health care laws and oversight of accounting and finance.
Mr. Pierce served previously with the Texas division of Chemical Bank of New York, working with domestic and foreign companies in multiple industries with a significant focus in the energy sector, providing financial services for oil exploration, production and oilfield service. Mr. Pierce has direct banking, investing, corporate and import/export experience in Eastern Asia, the European Union, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Central America.
Mr. Pierce has also held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer in retail management, responsible for all operating areas and exercising direct management of contract and information technology, supply chain management, distribution, real estate acquisition and development, contracting, U.S. and overseas issuance of letters of credit and funds transfers, and foreign inventory finance programs for global production and importation of private label merchandise.
Mr. Pierce attended The University of Texas at Austin earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with additional concentration in computer science and accounting. He has also completed executive courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. Mr. Pierce and his wife Jan have six children and reside in Houston, Texas.
